Decide if the S.H.Figuarts Kira Yamato (Orb Pilot Suits Ver.) fits your Gundam SEED Destiny collection. Pre-order details, deposit rules, and trade-offs explained.
Quick answer
The S.H.Figuarts Kira Yamato (Orb Pilot Suits Ver.) is a pre-order exclusive for dedicated Gundam SEED Destiny fans who want a specific pilot look, but the long wait and non-refundable deposit require careful commitment.
Why this version stands out
Bandai Tamashii Nations releases many Kira Yamato figures, but the Orb Pilot Suits Ver. captures his appearance in the iconic orange-and-white flight suit from Mobile Suit Gundam SEED Destiny. This is a distinct look not covered by earlier S.H.Figuarts releases, making it a must-have for collectors focused on pilot variants rather than mobile suit pilots.
The figure is a pre-order item with an estimated arrival in February 2027, meaning you pay now for a future delivery. This is common for premium Tamashii releases, but it does require patience.
Trade-offs to consider
The $5 non-refundable deposit is a low barrier to reserve, but it locks you into the purchase. If you cancel later, you lose that deposit. The total cost is $89.99, with a remaining balance of $84.99 due upon arrival.
International orders have additional shipping and customs considerations not detailed in the listing, so factor those in if you are outside the US. Also, because this is a pre-order, there is no in-hand review or unboxing footage yet; you are buying based on prototype images.
Decision rules for this pre-order
- Commitment level: Reserve only if you are certain you want this specific pilot suit version. The $5 deposit is low, but the full $89.99 is due later.
- Release timeline: Estimated arrival is February 2027. If you need a figure sooner, look for in-stock S.H.Figuarts Kira Yamato variants. Check current stock of other Kira Yamato figures if you cannot wait.
- Payment plan: Pay $5 now to reserve. TOYCO will email an invoice for the remaining $84.99 when the item arrives in stock.
- International buyers: The listing notes international orders have additional steps. Contact TOYCO support for shipping quotes before ordering. Confirm total landed cost before committing.
